How to Enable Windows 10 Transparency option

Step 1: Windows 10 Desktop click on the Notification button at the right bottom corner to open Action Center.

Step 2: From Action Center menu click on the All Settings gear icon to open Windows Settings.

Step 3: In Windows Settings click on the Personalization to get the background, lock screen and color options.

Step 4: Personalization setting menu showing items to setup background, colors, lock screen, themes, start, taskbar. Click on the Colors for the transparent option.

Step 5: Turn on the radio check button to enable Windows 10 transparency for the Start menu, taskbar and action center.

Step 6: The transparency in Windows 10 is now enabled

Step 7: Close the window now.


How to Disable Windows 10 Transparency option

Step 1: Click on the notification icon and then go to the All Settings.

Step 2: Search for transparent or click on the Personalization.

Step 3: From Settings to go the Colors menu

Step 4: Turn off the transparency option as shown in below figure.


The recommendation is to keep it turn off in case your computer speed is not good. Lacking high-performance processor and memory can cause computer operation slower. As the transparency in Windows 10 consuming your computer speed.

Purpose of transparency in Windows 10

Attractive and shiny themes to improving the user interface and look better such as glass theme. Removing blur in transparency will give you the clear look of glass which is demonstrating while opening Start menu, taskbar and action center.

Some user dislikes the transparency theme option due to not concentration on open Window. Transparency diverting your attention to the backend contents. Mostly probably in workplace people will not recommends using the transparency option or clear glass theme.
