Most of the computer are disturbing by the showing notifications on their web browser. Their web browsers allow websites to show you notifications. By browsing different websites like shopping and many news websites, and you will see a pop-up remind you the website wants to show notifications on your computer desktop.



Let's show you that how to disable these unwanted notifications as per below browsers like Firefox Mozilla, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge step by step.

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox is not able you to stop all web notification indicating in its normal options window. You have to this setting from the hidden about configuration page.

To access it, write about: config into firefox's address bar and press the enter key. You will be shown a warning. When using the about: config page, be careful as you could cause problems with Firefox by changing some settings. Click "I accept the risk" button if you are ready to continue.



In the search box type "notifications" and double click the dom.webnotifications.enabled an option that visible. This will change the setting to "false," so it will be disabled the web notification in Firefox.

All web notifications will completely disable by this change so you cannot select to receive notifications from two or one websites while stopping other websites from asking for demonstrating notification.



Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge browser obtain support for notifications in Windows 10's Anniversary Update. However, Microsoft offers no way to turn off notifications entirely and stop websites from asking for demonstrate notification.

These all you can do is click "No" option when you are asked if you want to let a website disclose notifications. Microsoft Edge will at least keep remembering your preference for the current internet site, but other websites will still be capable of pointing you.


Apple Safari

Apple Safari allows you to turn off websites from requesting permission to send notifications. To find out this option, click Safari > Preferences.



Click on the "Notification" tab and, at the bottom of the windows
uncheck the " and then uncheck the
 "Allow websites to ask for permission to send push notifications" box.

That website, authorization already is given by you to show notifications will still have the authorization to show notifications even after you uncheck this option. You can manage and see the list of websites with permissions to show notifications in this window.



It depends on you in the future to change your mind, you can go at all time into the settings of your web browser and re-enable web notifications.

Google Chrome

To turn off the web notifications in Google Chrome, Select "Settings" option from the menu option button.

Scroll down on the page click on the "Show Advanced Settings" option and click the " Content Settings" option button under Privacy at the bottom of setting page.



You will see some of the notifications categories by scrolling down and check the "Do not allow any site to show notifications."


Till here after choosing this setting, these websites will still be able to demonstrate notifications because you have given the authorization to display notifications. To see the list of all websites click on the "Manage Exceptions" option you have given the permission to demonstrate notifications and ban the permission if you want.

In the future, if you like the ability to show notification, then click on the "Manage Exceptions" option button here and select the give a site authorization to display notifications.
